My name is Paul Cackett, and this is my site - Home Movie Editing - dedicated to filming and editing home movies and making DVDs.
I started editing my own home movies four years ago. After tackling the problem of converting my old Video8 tapes to DVD, I started a semi-professional service doing the same for other people, digitising Video8, Hi8, VHS and MiniDV films to disc.
Many people who now have digital camcorders would tell me "I wish I could edit my videos myself" - and this is the inspiration for this site - to share a bit of what I've learnt!

I've started adding some free video clips, and am planning to add more articles and other useful items in the near future - hopefully there'll be something useful for everyone.
